Included as part of the 2014 Whitney Biennial, Academy Records' The Spectre is a multi-component project featuring a creative dialogue with the archive of artist Matt Hanner (1971-2011). The project includes large-scale graphite wall drawing “The Spectre (full of stars),” 16mm film "The Bower," and a vinyl LP collecting Hanner's 2001 recording "No Jets, parts I-IV."  The actual gallery presentation includes two excerpts from "No Jets III," while the additional recorded parts are scheduled for a future release that will present the audio work in its entirety split across twelve sides of vinyl.
