The Demonstration Process was conceived for the group exhibition WORK at Gallery 312 in Chicago.

Organized by Jake Jacobs and Carol Jackson

The goal was to record, mix and duplicate a limited edition of CD's during the exhibition opening thusly illustrating the working process of recording and distributing a product. 3 AM radio type songs were chosen to be performed and recorded during the exhibition opening.  The content and style of each song was not of conceptual importance to the overall project.  The performance was also secondary to the mixdown and duplicating.  The songs recorded were To Love Somebody by the Bee Gee's, Suzanne by Leonard Cohen, and Young and Dumb by Ike and Tina Turner. By the end of the opening, gallery goers could purchase the complete package of what they had just witnessed.
